Manila, Philippines — G-SHOCK is taking a more understated approach to toughness with the launch of its new Luxe Black 2100 collection, a four-piece series that reinterprets the brand’s iconic 2100 silhouette through monochromatic finishes, refined metallic details and a more restrained aesthetic.
Available now at G-SHOCK stores and authorized dealers nationwide, as well as through the CASIO G-SHOCK website, Shopee, TikTok, Lazada and Zalora, the collection introduces a quieter interpretation of the bold design language traditionally associated with G-SHOCK.
The Luxe Black 2100 arrives as fashion continues to move toward pieces that prioritize versatility, longevity and considered design over overt displays of status. In the Philippines, the shift has also coincided with growing interest in sustainability-minded design, with consumers and local creatives placing greater value on quality and pieces built to last.
For G-SHOCK, that evolution presents an opportunity to express toughness in a different way.
“More than just an aesthetic, quiet luxury is a mindset, and Luxe Black is G-SHOCK’s answer to it,” said Sena Kuroda, Regional Sales Manager of the Timepieces Division at CASIO South East Asia. “We’re keeping the durability the brand has always been built on, but expressing it through material and finish instead of visual volume. A More Refined 210
At the heart of the collection is a simple idea: toughness does not have to be loud.
The Luxe Black 2100 maintains the recognizable octagonal profile of the 2100 while dialing back its visual intensity. Matte black dials, minimized reflection, redesigned hands and indexes, and carefully positioned metallic accents create a more sophisticated interpretation of the silhouette.
The result is a G-SHOCK designed to blend more naturally into a considered wardrobe, moving easily between casual looks and more polished outfits while retaining the functionality and durability expected from the brand.
Four Ways to Wear Luxe Black
The collection comprises four models across the GM-2100LXB and GA-2100LXB lines.
The GM-2100LXB-1A (₱17,010) and GM-2100LXB-1A9 (₱15,710) feature hairline-finished metal bezels with black ion plating and newly designed matte black dials. Silver- or gold-toned accents add subtle contrast, while redesigned hands and indexes further refine the familiar 2100 design.
For a lighter everyday option, the GA-2100LXB-1A (₱9,430) and GA-2100LXB-1A9 (₱9,430) combine matte-finished octagonal bezels and bands with redesigned matte black dials. Metallic vapor-deposited indexes add depth, while the lightweight resin construction makes them easy to wear daily.
All four models retain key G-SHOCK features, including shock resistance, 20-bar water resistance, stopwatch and timer functions, world time across 48 cities, Hand Shift, double LED Super Illuminator lighting and up to five daily alarms.
The collection also incorporates bio-based resin in key bezel and band components, reflecting the growing interest in materials that can help reduce environmental impact while maintaining the toughness and reliability associated with G-SHOCK.
